For several years after Gov. Tom Berry had "adopted the group, the organization was known throughout the state as the "Governor's own Cowboy Band". This was the grand entry in 1933.	They called the Cowboy Band but even in 1935 a large percentage of the band was cowgirl. They had not yet acquired the chaps.
